After attending Savannah College of Art and Design for Film & Television, I obtained a bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University in Integrative Studies with a focus on Chemistry & Biology.  I currently work in the lab of Nathan Ellis, PhD and study colorectal cancer in African Americans, a population which has the highest incidence and mortality rates of colorectal cancer in the US.  My work focuses on using genomics and bioinformatics to study susceptibility and tumorigenesis in this population.
