Lysosomal Storage Disorders: State of the Art in a Fast Moving Field

Dr. Kirk Aleck is Professor of Child Health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Physician in the Division of Medical Genetics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a graduate of Harvard College, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed a pediatric residency and fellowship in Medical Genetics at UCLA-Harbor General. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Clinical Genetics, Clinical Biochemical Genetics, and Clinical Cytogenetics. He is founder of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Lysosomal Treatment Center and is Chairperson of the State of Arizona Newborn Screening Committee.
