Dr. Michele Gornick’s background training is in cancer genetics, with training in both quantitative and qualitative approaches to analyzing data. Dr. Gornick’s work in translational medicine deals with issues surrounding communicating genomic information to providers, patients, and members of the public. She was a VA Postdoctoral Fellow, 2012-2015, and a research investigator at the University of Michigan in the Department of Internal Medicine from 2016-2019. She currently has an adjunct faculty position at Emory University, and is running a genomics consulting firm from Denver, Colorado working  on various projects with the Colorado department of Public Health, the Georgia Department of Public Health, and Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
